Hi,

Travelocity, has this issue been rectified yet? You have made a mistake with the names on our air tickets and no action has been taken to correct this despite repeated reminders from us for more than 1 over month. Please rectify and update us as soon as possible.Regards,Mr See

As mentioned in my weeks ago email, we are not changing our names as our name is correct, the correction of our names in which Travelocity system did not capture the correct names that why we bring it to your attention. I do not want to see a situation that we are struck at the Airport due to names not tally with our passport. Did you call Travelocity within 24 hours of booking? That’s the only way to get a free name correction.

When you book online, what you input when booking is what comes out on the ticket. You must have made the error when you booked. You have 24 hours to change it at no charge. If you didn’t call them within 24 hours to correct it- they are correct- the airline usually won’t correct it - you have to buy a new ticket. You will usually receive a credit less a cancellation fee to apply to the new ticket, depending on the class of ticket. Some tickets are totally non refundable.

How long had it been when you first contacted them? Since you booked through Travelocity the airline won’t talk to you- Travelocity has to do it. But they are reliant on airline policy. If the airline says no- they can’t change it.

It seems in one of the notes- China Air won’t correct it at no charge.

Your case would be far better presented as a narrative rather than a succession of pasted in emails. Few people are able to wade through this kind of thing. I would suggest you make a polite, concise request to Travelocity's customer service. Wait a week, if you get no answer or don't like what you hear, use our company contacts to submit your letter to the executives, one by one, waiting a week between submissions. You have unfortunately booked through an online service, so there's little that can be done ... but it's worth a try before you're forced to purchase new tix.

How wrong are the names? Mine often gets abbreviated -- such as LASTNAME FIRSTNAMEPARTOFMIDDLENAME -- ie Marianne Elizabeth Smith become SMITH MARIANNEELIZA on some or SMITH MARIANNEELIZABE on others.
