I wonder! Has anyone else experienced this, when they try/tried to charge for damages that you did not cause as I have, their initial claim was for damages that I could prove were present at time pick up?

I think this is done quite frequently and it should be stopped! I want to see your response or Email me directly at unfairdamageclaim@gmail.com If there is enough interest I will see if it warrants to pursue this through the courts to put an end to this unfair practice of extortion, this is fraudulent!

The two previous posts involved damage claims in different countries -- Germany and Denmark. This certainly happens all over the world.

A renter has to protect themselves by documenting the car at the time of rental. This forum gives advice on how to protect oneself at the time of the rental and how to refute bogus claims.

So are you going to sue every car company in the US -- well what about overseas? Sue them in courts overseas?

Are you a lawyer or just trying to make a change in the industry?
