of course they don't - so you wait until you are on board and you negotiate. I had having to negotiate everywhere - but it is possible to do so.

I've saved serious money offering the purser $500 in pre-purchased cabin credit and asking for $750. I usually get $650 or $675 . . . then everything gets charged to there - instant 10% disscount.
In 14 years of being an agent and over 20 years sailing, I have never heard of this happening. Ever. And we have made friends with ship employees and Captains as well and I have never heard of this.
