My husband and I are planning on taking a 7-day Alaskan cruise on Holland America's Westerdam this July. The cruise starts in Vancouver and ends in Seward. Rather than do a cruise/land tour through Holland A. up to Denali and back to Anchorage, we thought renting an RV would give us more flexibility and the option to explore the Kenai Peninsula. Any tips and experiences are appreciated.

I agree with AMA ... there are many resources for you to investigate what sounds like a great idea. I always start at the library with printed guide books, then venture out to the internet with searches, plus reading my favorite websites. Have a look at Cruise Critic, Trip Advisor and other sites that share information.
