There has been a lot of talk about Verizon raising prices while increasing data, introducing rollover data and a safety feature to stop overage.

I actually saved money with the new plan. This only happens if you were on the $30 plan and don't elect to have safety mode. Previously this plan didn't qualify for the employee discount which many people can get through their companies. The $35 plan does qualify. So anyone on the $30 plan would actually save a few cents and get 1 extra GB by switching to the new plan, with the ability to rollover data. For an extra $5 you can elect to cap data at 2GB and switch to a low speed (128KBPS).
