Hi my name is Samantha. Im a single mom who works a full time job. I want to take my 14 year old daughter to New York City for the first time. I'm on a budget. Any tips?

As far as getting there, a lot of cities on the East Coast and Midwest have bus transport to NYC. it's a lot cheaper than flying, so depending on where you live it may be an option. Megabus is one, for example, there are others too if you search a bit. AMTRAC is also an option, again dependIng on your location. A lot of people will drive to a remote station, pay to park there, then take the train in as it's cheaper and less stressful than driving in the city.
