I have e-credit which is expiring. If I purchase a ticket with the e-credit, but then change or cancel my new ticket after the e-credit expiry date, do all the funds carry over? Or just the the credit from the second, new ticket?
I've not had to do this, but have read on FlyerTalk that the airline knows that this kind of thing goes on, so they make the expiration date of the second tix the same as the first one. So you'd gain little by cancelling the second res, just double change fees. I'm sorry, maybe someone else has some insight here, but I believe that you should think up a use for your credit/voucher, otherwise it will be history.
I only know how DN /SW Airlines in plain language works. LOL
If you use a voucher and cancel then all is LOST. You can only use it once, so to say. Absolutely no passing it down the line to extend the dates.
