My daughter rented a car from Hertz in June 2018. While driving from Phoenix to Redlands,Ca a piece of the passenger window moulding flew off the car. Since she was on a highway, she could not stop to recover the piece. She explained the situation when she returned the car and the agent said not to worry about it. Of course, in July she received a bill for $480 from Hertz. She contacted Hertz and heard nothing more until she received a bill from Viking Agency for $280. The car was rented through AAA so she contacted them for help. They recommended she get a hand written letter from return agent but her name is not listed on receipt. Do we have any recourse at this point?
