I've used Amex travel a couple of times. They are great when I'm in an emergency situation as in I have arrived at 9am, don't have anything booked, please help me find a hotel I can check into at 9am without paying for an extra day. Another time, I booked a trip to Anguilla and the agent was a disaster. there is no point to using them as you have to dictate your itinerary and figure out logistics yourself anyway.

This is GREAT news! How long has this been going on?
I guess for about a year and 1/2. Many agencies are being offered commissionable contracts. According to our sales reps, the carriers are wanting agencies to handle more ticketing as the DIY'er isn't as good as they thought it would be.
