A Just Fly reservation agent made a reservation that did not include info regarding additional fees for a checked bag. It was not disclosed at the point of sale as the reservation would not have been made. Spoke to supervisors Maria and May regarding my situation and why the agency failed to inform me of the ticket restrictions for luggage and the significant extra cost this would be on top of the airplane ticket BEFORE the ticket was purchased, so I could make a fully informed decision before the point of sale. I just discovered this during the online check-in 24 hours before the flight was due to leave, which is completely unacceptable. It is an international destination and therefore, check-in luggage is a must for a two week trip abroad. If the travel agency had supplied me with the complete airfare costs including luggage then the airfare ticket would never have been purchased. The supervisors offered no assistance whatsoever and because I cannot afford the additional fees and cannot manage with a carry on for two weeks must cancel the trip. result of the extra charges for luggage check-in. After 2+ hours on phone with agents quoting various fees that would have to be paid at the airport causing me to go beyond a strict trip allowance, the flight was not boarded and all arrangements cancelled as a result.
