Aer Lingus lost luggage

We lost a piece of luggage traveling direct from Dublin to Boston on Aer Lingus in September, and found Aer Lingus very solicitous for about a week, then they completely stopped being helpful and have refused any kind of assistance or payment unless we provide receipts for everything in the bag. Funny thing is too, that it was my 9-year old daughter’s suitcase with brightly colored owls all over the outside, and her Irish dance shoes and heirloom sweater inside – you couldn’t ask for a more unique or obvious bag. We even provided an exact picture of the luggage, but Aer Lingus would not offer any help. We're not even sure if the right information made it to whoever actually staffs the lost luggage area, as our first week of calls was clearly coming from India or somewhere in south Asia. We even considered sending one of us back over there to look in person.

We'd love to get our daughter's stuff back!

Is it possible for you to go back to Logan to look? It's probably sitting in a corner somewhere.

This was checked luggage that they lost and they will not respond? Do you have receipts for anything to provide them? How sad for your daughter; I would hope that no one would steal a child's suitcase, which sounds very cute by the way.
