One has to be suspicious when renting out their place -- I mean a 23 year old renting an entire house for New Year's Eve? What could possibly go wrong? Ok I am sounding old and cranky...
Yahsure, we're old, cranky and SMART! Way back when 'home-swapping' got started, I remember thinking how wonderful it would be to leave my truck, dog and house with someone from France while I enjoyed Provence in their home. But I could never get past the icky mental image of strangers in my house. I mean, what if they didn't feed the dog and ripped out an axle on my 4x4? I chose the loyalty points plan to obtain more affordable hotels instead.
