Last June we rented a car from SIXT in Germany. Scraped front bumper and documented it. We received no follow-up communication until now when an email document arrived from a collection agency. Document shows they may have sent info to an incorrect address in another state! Why didn't they contact our credit card for a correct address if there was a problem? Amount is over $2000 now. Now - 9 months later - I cannot quickly find the rental paperwork - I have no email documents. How do I begin to address this issue?
Should we contact SIXT for a copy of the original contract? We had researched prior to our trip that our Chase CC included rental insurance coverage, but we think we also purchased their insurance as well.
