We used reward miles and purchased additional miles for 2 reservations to Budapest in April. I booked them over the phone because the last segment was not available as a reward so we paid for that ticket.Nothing was said that the seats could not be upgraded to comfort economy. All of their online information promotes the upgrade but after purchasing they said they are not upgradable. I asked to speak to a manager who said the same thing. Before I start an email chain to an executive I wonder if anyone has had success buying an upgraded seat after using rewards?

This worked! I emailed Doug Parks and got a phone call from one of his staff 3 hours later. Thank you, Chris, for your excellent service to our community. You are very much appreciated. =)
