Elliott.org encourages and supports the responsible use of social media. This policy sets out what we expect from our posters, staff or otherwise, when utilizing social media. We are all ambassadors of the organization and social media is never private.
  1. Only Christopher Elliott is the official spokesman for Elliott.org. If you chose to post on social media about Elliott related issues or content, you must make clear you are speaking for yourself and not the organization. You may reference by link, quote, or synopsis positions taken by the organization provided that the content accurately represents the source content.

  2. Social media includes all means of communicating or posting information or content of any sort on the Internet, including to your own or someone else’s web log or blog, journal or diary, personal web site, social networking or affinity web site, web bulletin board or a chat room, whether or not associated or affiliated with Elliott.org as well as any other form of electronic communication.

  3. You are personally responsible for the content you publish. Violations of the social media policy will result in stripping of staff or advocate titles, where applicable, as well as permanent banning from the blog or forum comments.
Obtaining and/or using a blog or forum user account is considered acceptance of this social media policy.
